Little surprised McNeese got two on the board. I could also have seen one of the UCA guys in the first team, but overall I think it's actually the best preseason list I've seen in a while.

Kennedy and Brown are a pretty solid duo for McNeese. If there's a dark horse on that list for me, it's Roydell Brown, almost averaged a double-double last year.
Too many unknown faces on the Jacks this year to have anyone else selected. By the end of the year and the naming of the post-season teams, you can bet that will not be the case. And I'm not just being a homer. There are other potential All-Conference studs on this team. The team has a goal of a 30-win season. Not sure if 30 is possible, but 25 definitely is.

Yeah I was surprised to see them that high too. Kai Mitchell is a really good player returning, but they also lost Marcus Harris. They brought in a decent grad transfer from Elon.TallTexan said:

The problem with our league, and really all low Mid-Major leagues, is when the known players leave they are replaced with unknown/less covered freshmen and JUCOs. The Bearkats were picked 6th in last years preseason poll, nobody really knew how good their new guys would be. And that's really the story every year.

Nice! Last four years with the Rockets - last two as the Assistant Coach of Advanced Operations. Sounds like an opponent scouting specialist. Before that with A&M with Keller.
We must earn the respect again. We need to hit it hard and not look back. This year other teams will have to have a new game plan because last years won't work this year.
Some awesome analytics will help but the biggest piece is jelling and playing good positional basketball. I think the mix of talent we have may lend itself better to accelerating the learning curve.

I had a plastic basketball and a lot of beads from it. Pretty sure a student swiped or broke the ball early in my teaching career.
