In most years during the dog days of summer, I'm already saying let's just skip football and go directly to the hardcourt. But not this year. Great things are brewing on the gridiron, too. But I think it's pretty obvious that the MBB Jacks, with a bevy of JUCO recruits coming in, will see more immediate success than the young FB Jacks.

Grabbing my megaphone and hopping on my SFA soapbox...

Think about it, guys and gal. A great FB recruiting class. A great MBB recruiting class. A great WBB recruiting class and lots of excellent returners. A tremendous recruiting class by bowling. Great returners in volleyball. Great recruiting class by soccer. Great recruiting class and returners in softball. Great returners by T&F. The 2019-2020 athletics season could be one for the ages. I will be shocked if we don't bring the SLC Commissioners Cup back home where it belongs next year.

Suffer? No, I'd imagine we'll be able to put names & faces together pretty well by the time the season rolls around.

By game 3 or 4, Charlie will be out there in the lane, dueling with opposing bigs. And if you think he's good in non-conference play, wait until Northwestern comes to town.
