I say , drop the housing requirement and let the kids stay where they want. Accept as many as possible and grow the University.

Who can blame them when it is storming outside.

Try riding the shuttle and see if that is something you would want to do on a daily basis.

There were no shuttles when I was there. I walked. Regardless of weather. Both on campus and off.

There's always tons of open parking spots in the lot across from the Johnson coliseum. Students complain about having to walk 10-15 minutes to class from there.
I think there's probably no campus anywhere in the USA that has adequate parking in the center of campus because that's where buildings go, not parking lots.

The major issue imo is parking. The old way of doing things needs to change.

Record freshman enrollment?
Wonder when we'll hear a number on overall enrollment for the fall?

Weaver gave an estimate during the convocation last week.
His "estimate" was 11,641. Up from 10,527.

That's definitely trending in the right direction.
Never would have guessed that when I was there circa 2010 ish that we were at a peak.
Then again, turns out we were the biggest single year of births since the baby boom, so it makes a little more sense in retrospect.
