#3 seed NSU takes out #6 seed HBU in four very tough sets.

Ladyjacks take the first set 25-17. Started 0-5, then tied at 12, before closing it out.

Ugly second set right now. Sets sloppy, no blocking. Down 13-11. Got to clean this up.

Now 21-20 UNO. UNO playing deeper on their attacks which is limiting the good blocking of our bigs.

SFA cleaned it up to win 25-23. 2-0.

Another sloppy section in the middle of the set. Humphries is going to have plenty to talk about after this match. Down 13-12 in the third.

Nothing is going to come easy from here on out. When SFA plays solid they are killer, but when they play sloppy other teams can take advantage. SFA gets set 3 25-21. On to the semis with the sweep.

That was competitive by both teams. A 5 point slouch near the end of the set made it close, but Evans and Miller on fire.

Set 2: SFA 25-18!

Much better set. Both teams playing tough. SFA just better.

Humphreys coach of the year for a reason. She can get her team up for the big games.

Just a colossally bad middle to the third sees a cruising SFA give away the third. 25-21.

Same question. If it carries a game suspension, that is a major problem.

What did she do?

Thankfully not like soccer where they have to sit the next game. A point and possession to the other team.

There was a missed net violation that would have given SFA match point. Daron and Humphreys yelled at the ref. He awarded Daron a yellow card for her part. She then clapped at him for his punishment, and he upgraded the warning to a point for Corpus. Technically not much at that point, but a little scene at the end.

Apparently it's pretty rare to see a red on the same violation as a yellow. She could have been sent off but they let her stay in. All cards reset at the start of the next set - even if your expelled from the set.

Corpus' coach also received a yellow card/warning during the same altercation.

Unofficial RPI has us up to 31.

Win and rest easy until the selection show on December 1. Not even thinking about the alternative.
