25-19 in the third. Worked on that depth in the third set particularly with a couple of girls that had not played this season. Exactly the kind of match they needed. The team must be getting road weary. Remember, they are full time students also.

Ladyjacks come out really slow trailing 15-5, then come back to lose the first set 25-18. We lead most of the second set. Let that get away to trail 24-21, then score five straight to win 26-24. All even after two sets.

I wonder if depth is playing in. Rice has 11 that have played in two or more sets. SFA has 8. Quick start in a 15 point set is indeed important.

Humphreys told me that after last season, she didn't think she could ever get Rice back to Shelton again. After today, she may not be able to get Rice on the schedule anywhere again.

Ya..... I still think it defies logic that we are 9-1 defeated Rice on a neutral court. Rice is still receiving votes and we are stuck. I think the voters are irresponsible.

For the life of me, I can't understand how teams that are 2-3 and 3-4 can be ranked but we can't. I know we're a small school, but that is beyond ridiculous. The voters probably say, "Well, they played a hard schedule". Yeah - and they LOST. What's your point?

Relative to the poll, I don't put too much into that. It is important for helping with name recognition though. The first RPI comes out soon,. That is what is really important relative to post season seeding.
