I always wondered what the deal with that was on not filling up all the slots.
Everyone wants playing time. Can't do that if all 15 scholarships are filled. Leads to unhappy players.
Do most women's teams only fill 12-13 slots? I've always wondered bc you're right, hard to play more than 10 regularly.

I was talking to Thomas Hill (yes from Duke's 91'/92' championship teams) and he was saying how it's so much easier to fill those 13-15 roster slots at big schools. Kids that can play but just want to be on the team. Helps a ton with practice!

That's my line of thought, too. Heck, a late-bloomer could be developed, sort of like Walkup did on the men's side.
