Ivey has a process, with well defined criteria, that he goes through when hiring a head coach. He has been quite successful at all three of his AD jobs. I have confidence this one will be successful as well.

I'd think WVU assistants probably make around what Kellogg does at SFA. But you also get the chance to be an HC with a very talented roster, so I think if offered, they'd all take the SFA job.

Ivey and his team did a great job of communicating with, and getting input from, the softball players when he was filling that job. They didn't know who the candidates were, but their input was listened to. We had two girls enter the portal, then pull out to stay with the team. Of course, this one could be different, but Ryan is good at this.

One of those has any HC experience at any level, and it is very limited. That doesn't eliminate them as a candidate, but it is one important factor.

That's definitely true but I kinda get a Mike Boynton feeling all over again. I'm willing to ride or die with any of the lieutenants who helped rebuild this.

I trust Ivey to get it right but it's very likely we see some names in the portal. I was expecting a couple even before this.

I would like to see Bishop get the opportunity. He is well established in Nac and SFA. He knows the team, the current system. Would likely help to hold the team together better than an outsider.
Sure that an Ivey hire would be a capable person to come in to SFA....but I'll be pulling for Bishop

I am 100% for Bishop!! He has the inner-city connections and AAU circuit and plus he is a great human being and can coach our ladies well.. I know there is no head coaching experience there but that is ok.. He is a winner..

If Bishop goes with Kellogg, I think Alvidrez would be a great fit. She still has a relationship with some of the older players coming back!
