Curious, why does a 4 Star like Seraille not have that many other offers?
Old Dominion and La Salle have made offers too but you are right. One would think he would be getting offers from the Big 5 conferences and some top mid-majors. It is possible those offers will start to come in or there might be something else going on that we don't know about.TallTexan said:

Not sure why. But I don't think it's bc of lack of talent. He is a verbal commit 4 star and ESPN 4 star. He is #20 on Texas Top 100 ranking and #30 on TexasHoops Gaso ranking and top 10 in the city of Houston (Top 100 talent)

When the word gets out that he visited SFA the big schools will be scrambling. Right? Seriously though I believe he would be great for the Jacks. Would like to see him commit before they start calling.
I believe it will be easier to land highly sought after players after this year. Especially considering the year we SHOULD have. Keller and the crew have set the bar high for the future.
Definitely, I love under the radar players. Would love to get him signed.

I honestly didn't think I could get more excited than I already was for basketball season, but today proved me wrong. Kyle Keller is without a doubt living up to his reputation as a strong recruiter.

After Yates wins the state championship next March they can start winning multiple SLC championships for SFA!!!
BTW, Mitch is rated as the #24 recruit and Jock the #36 recruit in the state of Texas by TXRecruited. WOW!

Mitch is a 3 star now on 247.
still 4 star on espn and verbal commit( He has to different verbal commit page. one shows that he is 4 star on Espn and verbal commit the other doesn't) 247 composite adds all ratings. he his 4 on espn and verbal but 3 on scout and not rated on rivals.

if the University of Houston wont offer or even recruit the guys in their own backyard then we should. Antonie plays with Mitchell for Houston Hoops AAU team. He has an offer from A&M but They literally send offers to every 3 star or above guy in texas, His name is not even mention On TexAgs (a&m's forum) once. So i wounder how hard they are actually recruiting him. His dad is coach of Texas Southern and that might be our only true competition.Jyank24 said:

Also I post this under his tweet about everyone going to SFA . He liked and retweeted it. If u have a twitter account go like, retweet or comment. One like or retweet goes a long way in recruiting these players.
I love that we're having the discussion as to whether some of our recruits are 3 or 4 stars. Our recruits have stars, that's good enough for me.
Does that leave one scholarship to fill? Do you keep that one for a center? If The Jacks make a run in the NCAA tourney this season will that make it easier to recruit a big?

Yeah one open spot left right now. Recruiting is tough, when you know you only have a few spots but have to offer so many kids. But, also a good problem to have. We've had a dozen or so REALLY good players come to Nac on a visit. That doesn't happen by accident, it's a good testament to the program and our staff.
Like last year, we had a lot of kids wanting to come here, just so hard with so few spots. But, I think you tell them basically to get in now or you won't have a spot later. Not an easy game to play, but I think whoever is ready to commit next, you take them and somewhat shut it down and get them to sign in the early period. Imagine if we had the spots available to sign Zhaire Smith in the early signing period last year?
There's always the possibility/option to over sign (which is what we did last year), especially when you know ahead of time that someone might leave. Happens a lot, pretty my everywhere in college sports.

I think a lot of kids will be ready to commit (in general) after summer. Everyone is playing AAU trying to pick up offers.
