Yancey struggling at point.
11 turnovers in the first quarter. Cannot win playing like that.
McNeese definitely decided to play physical and are getting some calls. Ladies starting to respond with some toughness. Kellogg already hot.

Visscher is an all star, but this has not been her game.
Jacks up 32-39 in a tough half. McNeese playing a little better than I think our girls expected.
Only three turnovers that quarter. Three really nice back dior cuts by us for layups. Our depth is definitely better than McNeese depth. Visscher has not had a good game.
Speeding up play. We're getting lots more looks but not finishing well. Wonder if Visscher has shin splints. She's running like me, and when not on the court is stretching out her calves.

Visscher ends up being player of the game. 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Mayfield with 22 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 6 steals in 26 minutes. Nugent is getting better every game also. She is strong around the basket.

Getting beat by Our Lady of the Lake......... that does not sound like a NCAA tournament team? Probably not a conference title look either. 2nd half will tell. If it's a squeaker then the warning lights might be in order.
A win, but not pretty. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. Poor passing. Poor defense. Against an NAIA team.
If they play like this going forward they won't win the SLC. Before the season began I really thought this group was going to be something special. Right now they are far from being anything special.

OLLU is an NAIA team, but one of the best in the country. Their four losses coming in were to top eight teams. Their last three wins were against two top 25 and one RV. They were ranked #16 in the last poll, and I expect that to go up.
From the stats Visscher, Aiyana Johnson, and Banfield had nice games. Visscher was three assists short of a triple double. Banfield went 8-12 on threes to set a new Ladyjack record for made threes. Johnson was 8-11 with six rebounds.
The rest of the team didn't do much. Twenty turnovers while only forcing 13 speaks to the comment about poor defense and sloppy passing. Mayfield had an uncharacteristically poor game. We did dominate the boards 48-31.
Visscher and Aiyana Johnson are outstanding. Banfield runs hot and cold. Seldom in between. Mayfield has been good, 0 for the game from the field and the FT line today is not her norm. The rest of the team has been pretty mediocre. Our RPI of 152 is unfortunately about right. ACU and Lamar are playing better than we are right now. Sam and UNO are not far behind.

54-37 after three. Visscher with 13 points that quarter. Mostly going to the bucket. Ladyjacks have zero fouls since the first quarter.

She just has a nose for the ball. Never looks flashy, just gets the job done on both ends of the floor.
