Our FG % must be atrocious today, we look slow and uninspired- 11am trap. Not seeing a leader today who wants to put it on her shoulders. Maybe that will emerge in the 2nd half. And it's a given that SLC refs are not good, but it's even more amplified in the level of the women's game. At least that's our view from Section 107, row T.

Ugly, ugly basketball. Ladyjacks can't buy a basket inside 6 feet. Alcorn's guards are much more active than ours, but they're also getting away with a ton of slapping fouls.

Can't make layups and we run to guard the 2 pt so we leave the 3pt wide open for end of quarter shot. Plenty of things to work on at the next practice. Hope we have Bri sighting this second half-feel better when the ball is in her hands.

Thank goodness we're winning the rebound war, because we're not winning anything else. Just a terrible game by the Ladyjacks. Hard to watch.

If other teams watch this - and they will - we may never see a man-to-man defense again.

Be interested to hear our game FG%. Did we make it into the 30s?

I won't have the time to do little write ups for the Ladyjacks like I have been doing the men's team, but this is a pretty good home game for the women this weekend.

UCF is coming in at 1-2. They started with an impressive home win against Pitt, but then have been absolutely dismantled on the road against Belmont and FGCU. However, they are a tall team with seasoned players. They have really just struggled scoring this year. They will probably be our toughest test.

SFA hasn't just lit the world on fire with their scoring this year either. Both games so far have stalled at just 67 points. That almost allowed Alcorn to overcome an almost 20 point deficit last week. We need a more consistent scoring attack to keep ahead of UCF, but ultimately it's going to be up to some pernicious defense to keep UCF's road woes going.

This ladies' team has good balance and some exciting new players, but things haven't clicked for a whole game yet - despite the wins. SFA is riding a home winning streak that goes back two seasons. They will have to execute against a bigger team to win tomorrow afternoon.
