I really don't know... it's just kinda thought we would play each other. Like maybe in Shreveport.=

It's a great thing.. instead of a Purple white game in the spring we can play Sam in Houston or UCA in Shreveport.. NDSU played a 1 game Fall season this year.. Ita just good for our program because we can practice football all year.. Spring game is a great goal for our team during spring semester.. more practices the better .. Coach said NDSU playing 2 more months every year is one of the main reasons they are so much better.. By the time a kid goes through 4 seasons of football ita like playing 6 seasons with the extra months you continually get..
Would like to hear the "reasoning" behind one spring game. What is the point? After Memphis our focus should be on the Fall 2021 season in which we will be in strong contention for the conference title and playoffs.
What does SFA gain by playing one spring game. Guys will have to go through all the practices , drills etc to play once. What happens if we get a severe injury to a starter and then they have to sit out the fall campaign.
Doesn't seem like a good idea here but I'm open to hearing the reasons.

LL our staff will know how to not wear our kids out in the spring and I know our troops would much rather play an opponent instead of one another..
A real game over the Purple/White game...yep I'll give you that point.
I can see Carthel wanting more practices as probably most coaches would.
I would add though that I wouldn't want our only game to be against someone that has already played 3-4 games. Wouldn't be good to run into someone hitting their stride while we haven't played a snap.

I agree too.. That's why UCA in Shreveport would be sweet.. Gambling,horses, and Jacks playing in the Independence Bowl..
Plus our team has played 10 fall football games during this Covid time while most teams maybe got in 10 fall practices and don't forget some almost got 0 spring ball.. Our guys will be really seasoned against whomever we play in the spring..
We need a new locker room.. I hope this season and the dedication this team has shown us to do the right things to stay healthy to play each week will inspire a wealthy donor to start a locker room fund.. We don't need a new one just a remodeled one with a raised ceiling.. The lockers are the same nice wood lockers we had when I played 89-91.. It's time for new ones..
I would bet if a game was added for the spring it's probably gonna be the BOTPW.

UIW scheduled a game with Arkansas State in December. Seemed odd.TallTexan said:

FWIW, the season tickets I have downloaded to the wallet, has had a football game designated as a make up game. Today, it got moved to March 6.
UCA lost their game this Saturday due to Louisiana having Covid issues. Perhaps our spring game could be against them in Shreveport? They wouldn't play us in Arlington this fall, but things are changing.
Personally I'd rather just play them next week or something.

They are too busy in the Xs and Os. Meanwhile I'm not busy at all and can ponder life's great questions like "which Pac 12 school should pay us half a mil so they can play a game next week"
I hear Oregon missed out on it's chance to lose to a FCS school. Maybe they'd be down.
I feel this belongs in this thread, but has anyone heard anything about spring football? It's been quiet on that front, and with everyone else already starting up I hope we can get our practice in if we're planning on having an actual game.
