I see the 2024 Spring roster is up and Campos is not on it.

Also, many freshman are not on the roster, unless of course they graduated in Dec.

Ignore the classifications as they are all out of wack.

How's his rebounding and his midrange game? Asking for a friend.

Boaz also played basketball and baseball in high school.

Averaged 25.3 points and 11.2 rebounds per game as a junior, earning his third straight all-conference honor.

I wonder why we randomly stopped broadcasting the spring game. It would be great for the broaadcasting team to have the spring game as a practice for the fall season.

Tell me more about Boaz, 93. I read somewhere that he has two years of eligibility left after leaving North Carolina. Is that correct? Are we going to have a legitimate QB competition this Fall?

It appears that the QB position is an open competition this spring. Maurer did improve in pretty much every game he played this past season, but the inconsistencies still leave it hard to think he's pegged as the starter just yet.

Boaz doesn't have much tape. He played maybe 2-3 possessions in his time at UNC, and never really had to throw downfield in his time, though in fairness he did sit behind what will have been two highly touted future NFL QBs in Howell and Maye. Still he has a big arm, a giant for a QB, and is pretty athletic, having been plugged in as a tight end at UNC at times in practice. Maybe not the runner Maurer is, but maybe good enough to keep the offense open with some QB runs.

Only question I would have is his accuracy. Picking up the offense will be the same across the board, it's a new system they've all had the same amount of time in. But this past season should really have made everyone appreciate Trae Self's arm talent.

We have a deep and talented running back room, but we need to find a rhythm in the passing game to make sure we don't fall flat as often as we did. Maurer has shown enough flashes that I believe he can be the guy. Hell, if he was just a little more consistent he might even be a great QB, but the consistency is the key and that's what should be focused on when picking QB1 for this fall.

Accuracy & risk is the same question I have with Maurer tbh.

Glad to have two former P5 QBs to battle it out though. That can only make us better.
