Will the SLC become Baylor's bane?

UCA is over matched and struggling. I do think however that they have a legitimate shot to win the league. The question will be if they have the depth and bench. Their starting 5 should be really good.
Yep it's a bloodbath, but as our fans would say, at least it's a D1 opponent. 
I don't know. UCA has supposed to be a force in the SLC with their talent and Pennell since he took the job 5 years ago. All they have been is a spoiler. I know it takes time to build up the program, but hype has said top 4 team for the last 3 years. They have not reached it.
The Southland is evolving in its play, but UCA seems like they are stuck in another state.

They don't have any answers for Baylor, but you could see some flashes of their offense late in the half.

HBU with a nice start in Tulsa. Soph Qon Murphy looks really good so far.
Baylor is using UCA like we plan to use Le Tourneau. As a tune up game.
HBU lost the lead right before the half and never regained it.

They got it back early in the second, but completely fell flat after that.

Sam up 34-27 at the half.
Interesting one in Starkville. Sam holding a 34-27 lead at the half. Bearkats were up 34-17, but Mississippi State ended the half on a 10-0 run. Mississippi State had 19 turnovers in the first half, and many forced by a very active and aggressive Sam defense.
After a motivational speech from the Miss State coach, the Bulldogs look to be in control now. Sam playing on their heels at the end of the half with bad offensive sets. If Sam gets their swagger back, this could be an upset in the making...

What a meltdown. Outscored 32-6 in the last 12 minutes. And Mississippi State played an awful first 30 minutes.
Miss State wins 67-58. Sam manages six points in the last 13 minutes. Outscored 40-24 in the second half

Maybe Pitt and Illinois are just not good. But, go Nicholls for playing tough.
Even a bad P5 team is probably better than half the teams in southland. Plus being competitive on the road is so tough.
