TJ best wishes. Hope everyone gives Keller a chance to fix it got some good pieces coming in, let it play out guys.

This is where i worry. How do we know they are good pieces? We were all told how great the class this year was, along with the transfer guys and it turned out horrible.

I hope to high heavens I'm wrong, but basing our entire season on the hopes that our freshmen and transfers will take over seems less than ideal.

It's the nature of the game. We didn't know Parker or Walkup would turnout to be the pieces they were - even the best recruits have so many unkownn factors that aren't determined until the rubber hits the road.

Well, at least some good news. TCU beats SHSU 82-69. And strange news, Norfolk St. #8, bounces Alabama #1 from the NIT In the first round.

05, not the fly by nighter to which I was referring.

As to last year, yes total disaster. Many things went wrong and not all limited to coaches. Now I agree, I would have played the freshman much more especially the final 8-10 games when things were lost.
In regard to Bogues at PG, no one liked it but there really was no other option. Walker was a raw freshman, would have been eaten alive at PG, Comeaux not available til mid-season...there really was no other options at that position.

Year before was quite different, you cite team chemistry and some leadership and that made a difference to be sure. Did we have a great year in spite of coaching or in concert with it?

As I have said before I want to see what Keller and crew do this next season with a hopefully mostly healthy roster and better team attitude. Time will tell. Also not afraid to say that if next season turns into a long ride again or another epic fail then yes I could change sides in the Keller debate but I don't think it's time for now.

Seagull here! I never thought Keller was a good coach. Nothing personal, just my opinion. Can seagulls have opinions?

I didn't think the season was lost until the last game - true, it wasn't trending correctly and it was mostly painful (losing to NSU twice hurt in so many ways), but we still had a chance to make the tournament on the final game of the season. It was kind of catch 22 with the freshmen, but I would have played who he played trying to get that last win. He really had two players. That's the thing, I rewatched the W. Virginia game the other night - Walkup was the shinning moment we remember, but man did he have some great players around him. Rebounders, 3-point specialists, a fantastic point guard, great passing - all top at what they brought to the team. That was a combination of talent that is rare. And what a great big body CJ was - would love to have that style of lane blocker again.

CJ was the unsung hero of that game. And if you remember, he got sick immediately after and was limited against Notre Dame. You never know, but that may have been the difference.

Hmm? What game? It's still so weird that they had to cancel the NCAA tourney after we dominated WVU because of that swine flu outbreak.

Tech could be a good fit. Assuming Beard is there another year, the roster fits TJ. Also, much closer to Albuquerque.

I don't think people realize the loss TJ was for us. Maybe we wouldn't have been much better record wise, but we would've looked much more complete.

The NCAA needs to be taken out behind the barn and put down.

That's one of the dumbest rules I've ever heard. You're gonna try to punish a school for recruiting a kid who got his diploma at his last stop?

All sorts of dumb.

The NCAA had to find a way to stop schools like Nevada and make it easier for teams like Duke to win another national championship. They should also use the same rules for one and done lmao, At least a grad transfer already has a bachelors.

I know he has loyalty to Brad, but Kansas and Tech are the moves. Miami is going to be BAAAD next year and Oregon plays in a really bad league with little to no visibility
