SFA run came in first with no hits. HBU run came on solo in third. Wilbur really struggling with strike zone. 79 pitches in three innings. My worst concerns.

Ladyjacks go to 4-3 with a 3-1 win. Wilbur goes the distance throwing 144 pitches.

I jokingly said on Twitter that her arm must be dangling on a thread after throwing about a thousand pitches in four days. She replied, "You're not wrong".

Ladyjacks at #55 out of 297 teams.

Upcoming is a mid-week game at respectable Prarie View. They are 17/7 on the season with an RPI of 173. I am interested in seeing how Dickson manages the pitching staff. Hopefully Wilbur does not pitch much, if any against PV.

Following the Wednesday game at PV are three at A&M-Corpus. Double header on Friday, and a single game on Saturday. Corpus is bad. 4/27 on the season; 1/8 in SLC play. RPI of 241. They have a team BA of .207 and an ERA of 8.35. Their "best" pitcher has an ERA of 6.12. They have no one batting over .285. Great chance to get a road sweep.

Survived a rough seventh to take the series.

After this weekend, at 8-4 in SLC, the Ladyjacks are in a four way tie for second place, one game behind first place NSU. Fifteen conference games left to play, with SFA having nine at home. Road games are at bottom teams ACU and UIW. Big home series this weekend against 8-4 Lamar. That bad loss to Corpus yesterday may be a big deal in the standings by season end.

Mid week game Tuesday in Waco against a beatable 14-16 Baylor. Baylor has an altered schedule series this weekend at Kansas. Kansas won today 9-8. Playing two on Sunday.

Got Baylor's number this year...hopefully it will extend to September.

Lamar coming to Nacogdoches with an RPI of 165.

And then they lose both ends of the double header to Lamar. Wilbur lets a 2-0 lead top seventh get tied up, then loses it in the eighth. Kriesel loses game two, 4-1. Still time, but hopes of a conference championship took a serious blow today. Tomorrow is a must win.

Ladyjacks get a walk-off 3-2 win over Lamar in eight innings to sacrifice one game in the series.
