I still maintain that adding the trio of HBU UIW and Abilene was a complete and large mistake. Only Abilene makes sense. UIW and HBU can spend millions flying to Cal St Bakersfield, UTRGV, Utah Valley St etc. We don't need them.

Relative to volleyball, HBU and ACU have the third and fifth best rpi in the conference. They aren't good, but are much better than Nicholls and SLU which are in the bottom eight percent in the country.

SFA cruised through the first set 25-18 against UIW. Decent video feed for those interested.

Second set a little tougher with too many mistakes. 26-24 (2-0).

Clean sweep in San Antonio 25-20.

17 in a row. First in NCAA D-1 to 20 wins and one of only 9 to be unbeaten on the road. And they didn't seem to bring their A-Game tonight. This group is really something special.

Unbeaten at home?

At the press conference on Monday, Humphreys said it was the time of the season for some of the new girls to contribute. Danae Daron has been a starter all season and did not play. Xariah Williams, a significant contributor in several matches, did not play. Redshirt freshman Lauren Wright started and played two sets. Freshman Neena Perdue played in two sets. There are still nine conference games to go and coach is working on depth for the 7-0 Ladyjacks.

The next match is a big one in Conway on Tuesday. UCA, Sam, and Abilene Christian are all behind the Ladyjacks in second place with 5-1 records. Each of them play very winnable matches on Saturday.

Tuesday in Conway is big. UCA is playing really good volleyball.

That was hard fought. It seemed like UCA was gaining momentum through the match, but a nice stop by the Ladyjacks.

A 3-1 win at home against UNO was tougher than expected. It sounds like our girls were a little tired and not particularly focused. Used our depth to close them out.

Sam, UCA, and ACU all won so no change in the standings.

Standings remain the same with all of the top four winning. Next two on the road at McNeese and Lamar.

Ladyjacks at Lamar on Saturday. A big, purple out game against Sam at Shelton on Thursday. That should be a rowdy one.
