Excellent interview with QB Trae Self. He mentioned that the Jacks will be placing more emphasis on throwing to the wide outs, which could take some of the pressure off of Xavier Gipson.

Ya. I picked up on that. If we could have some sustained success along with some robust private donations, maybe we could pay him $250,000-$300,000 before incentives. I bet that would keep him a few years.

If we're still doing the single digit is earned thing it's telling that Maurer is already wearing a single digit as the backup QB. Either he's already impressing or maybe him getting to pick his number was a recruiting decision.

I don't know what side of the ball I'm more excited about …. The more I look at our D-Line and DB's the more I think our defense could be the strength of the team. It could be that both units are just "that good". With BJ Thompson coming off the edge , the DB's will see some ducks flying. I expect some significant interception numbers.
