A little disappointed about the lack of starters playing, but I was very impressed with how well our team looks. The depth is there at QB, which is really good. Defense is flying around again. And no significant injuries.

There were alot of starters that didn't play which was good because the others got much needed reps.. What I liked was that the players that weren't playing were still involved in the game.. Some were holding clip boards and coaching on their younger teammates.. We need some help in the secondary.. after our 1's then we get pretty thin.. Coach Joe was running from sideline to sideline coaching the defense.. we were able to go 2 deep on the OL which is a good sign.. 1st team OL has some size and can move.. Jerrell Wimbley the freshman RB I talked about scored a TD.. Probably the best player at this stage in his career that coach ever recruited yeah better than Zay at same stage.. we have a lot of weapons at WR and if ogelsby the transfer from Ark gets into some space then watch out.. It was a big day for the team with their parents ok'ing to town to eat lunch with them and the first half of the 0-9 jerseys were revealed.. JR day was also packed with guesstimating 80-100 recruits.. Coach had a nice spread for them and their guests/families.. saw a whole bunch of Lumberjacks from this past recruiting class Michael Leejay already looks like a grown man. We need a couple secondary players... we got our eye on the prize which is a ring and a NC..

We're in such a precarious position. 3 years ago we were one of the worst teams in the country. Now the expectation is a national title run.

Carthel would be the most valuable coach in all of college football had he started on an FBS staff at the beginning of his career.

Being thin in the secondary surprises me. Don't we have a ton of defensive backs on the roster? Or are we just thin in talent there?

Good to see almost all the signing day class there yesterday.. Kam Lampkin CB who is in the portal from Utah St was there we could sure use him.. JFM,Cordell, and some other NFL players were there.. That's great to see.. can't wait until the season starts..
