Think that would make Louw our first Olympian who actually got to compete.
Hope we get Walkup and many more in our future.
Sue Gunter was supposed to be the coach in the 1976 Olympics if I remember correctly.TallTexan said:SFAJack_76 said:Kylie Louw, South African. Played on their soccer team in the 2012 Olympics.SFA Jack Fanatic said:nacluth said:

Yep. That's probably part of his goals. Our first Olympian?
There might be others, but I know that one.
Louw is the one I know for sure.
Feel like this was mentioned before, but I think there might have been a WBB appearance or atleast a coach. Or maybe there was going to be for the Olympics that was boycotted.

Interesting snippet from Kerr when asked about facing Greece. Says they “held some things back, just like we did.” Could see some new stuff soon.

Also singled out Greece’s Thomas Walkup who got a nifty layup out of “Miami” action and drilled a couple of 3s in exhibition play. pic.twitter.com/yyJ7NqLGTa

I know at this point we will never see Thomas in the NBA (still blows my mind) but I can never find contract info on him other than extension in years. Not trying to be nosey, but just wondering what kind of living he is making overseas?
Thank you sir! Looks like they always play in front of packed houses so it would seem they would make more than that!TallTexan said:
Max Greek league salary is 2.5 mil.
Avg salary is 60-250k per year. I did see one number from Walkup, secondary source, that said 560k per year in 2021.

Walkup looking good as the point in a tight one against a really good Canada team.

I have to disagree. I don't think he had a good game at all. He was basically a non-factor for most of the game.
Australia beat Spain today, so Greece has to beat Spain on Monday if they want a chance to move on.

Canada eliminated Spain getting Australia into the next round. Now Serbia has to beat a strong South Sudan team by more than two points tomorrow for Greece to advance as the 8th seed.
