Honestly, it never should have changed from East Texas State, but if it must have A&M branding, East Texas A&M is right there.

In men's sports Lamar and UIW are the only SLC schools to have all 8 men's sports

SFA just lacks men's tennis.

* HCU, UTRGV, and UIW have men's soccer, HCU and UIW in the OVC and UTRGV in the WAC.
(I'd like to see SFA get a men's soccer program going, but that would bring the travel budget back into question.)

The Southland needs Lamar, SFA, and McNeese to be good at football.

Everyone else will benefit when those teams are at their best. No reason they shouldn’t be matching what UIW, SLU, and Nicholls have done lately.
