Sam is better than we are. Disappointing.

Ladyjacks go into the eight team WAC tournament in Las Cruces as the six seed. They play three seed Chicago State at 5:00 PM on Thursday.

This is going to be a tough tournament. It will be nice to see if this team can respond to a little "win or go home" pressure.

Wow, in an extremely close match, Grand Canyon (maybe not unexpectedly) knocked off UTRGV 3-1.

SFA nabs a strong set 1 hitting over .450.

Lost a very tight second 23-25.

Another great finish for SFA to take the third 25-19. SFA 2-1.

Going to fifth after losing all rhythm in the fourth. 25-18. 2-2.

Good for us, NMSU/UVU going to a late fifth set.

The #7 seed UVU will play us tomorrow night. UVU is a very defensive team. SFA should be able to handle them.

Not overly surprised GCU made the finals. They were the best WAC team I saw all year.

SFA down 2 sets. They have to win three in a row if that want any more games this year.

On another note, does soccer have post season invitationals?

Interesting schedule. We play 17-13 (15-1) Jackson State on Friday at 6:30. Winner plays 19-10 (10-8) Arkansas on Saturday at 6:30. Arkansas beat us in a very close 3-1 match in Tulsa, which was before Rosado was playing, and Pagan had moved to libero. This is great for our young team. More practice, and postseason experience. Hope we have a great crowd.

Tournament is WAC heavy with SFA, Sam, UTRGV, NMSU, and Chicago State.The other regions all have four teams. Of note, no GCU, and Sam is playing at Chicago State. I know we had bid to host, but don't know any details. Maybe WAC #1 seed Sam didn't bid since they knew they would have football this weekend. UVU plays Utah in the first round of the NCAA.

(Other than NCAA, I don't know of any soccer postseason tournaments.)

Saturday 2nd round match is scheduled for 7:00. Tickets for both Friday and Saturday are available on line. All seats are GA. $8 plus $2 fee per seat.

Hope those that are coming for women and men BB will support volleyball also.
