QB is the biggest question mark at this point, but I'm trusting the coaches, specially Coach May, with his judgment on it. I feel like if he felt like we needed a QB, he would've went out and got one.

Gavin has improved in every game he's started for us, and thankfully accuracy is a very correctable thing.

I do think we will be much more run heavy than we've been in the past with our deep RB room and Gavin's abilities as a runner. Definitely going to see the GATA package a lot more in short yardage situations.

It's not for nothing that SFA is getting a lot of preseason hype. We had a really, really good transfer portal class and return a bunch of guys who saw a ton of good and meaningful snaps in 2025. QB is the biggest question mark, but if Gavin plays the part the team should quickly be back where we left off.

Also as worthless as preseason top 25s are in the FBS with non stop coverage year round, FCS preseason rankings are worse because no one has any clue why any team has until they start playing.

I was told by Ryan Ivey a few years ago they stopped doing it because of conflicting schedules with other teams actually in season. Basically they didn't find it financially responsible to treat a spring scrimmage the same as an in season game for a broadcast when they have other in season sports going on.

Still valid. We don't have the resources. In person, with PA, it was hard to follow what was going on. Watching on TV would have been tough.
