QB is the biggest question mark at this point, but I'm trusting the coaches, specially Coach May, with his judgment on it. I feel like if he felt like we needed a QB, he would've went out and got one.

Gavin has improved in every game he's started for us, and thankfully accuracy is a very correctable thing.

I do think we will be much more run heavy than we've been in the past with our deep RB room and Gavin's abilities as a runner. Definitely going to see the GATA package a lot more in short yardage situations.

It's not for nothing that SFA is getting a lot of preseason hype. We had a really, really good transfer portal class and return a bunch of guys who saw a ton of good and meaningful snaps in 2025. QB is the biggest question mark, but if Gavin plays the part the team should quickly be back where we left off.

Also as worthless as preseason top 25s are in the FBS with non stop coverage year round, FCS preseason rankings are worse because no one has any clue why any team has until they start playing.

I'm actually now immediately questioning this top 25 list. West Florida is going to be a first year D1 team this season, and this list has them at 14.
