QB is the biggest question mark at this point, but I'm trusting the coaches, specially Coach May, with his judgment on it. I feel like if he felt like we needed a QB, he would've went out and got one.

Gavin has improved in every game he's started for us, and thankfully accuracy is a very correctable thing.

I do think we will be much more run heavy than we've been in the past with our deep RB room and Gavin's abilities as a runner. Definitely going to see the GATA package a lot more in short yardage situations.

Yes, with the speed and talent that will be in the backfield, and a QB who can run to direct it (something SFA does not usually have at QB) the zone read will be the bread and butter.

It's not for nothing that SFA is getting a lot of preseason hype. We had a really, really good transfer portal class and return a bunch of guys who saw a ton of good and meaningful snaps in 2025. QB is the biggest question mark, but if Gavin plays the part the team should quickly be back where we left off.

Also as worthless as preseason top 25s are in the FBS with non stop coverage year round, FCS preseason rankings are worse because no one has any clue why any team has until they start playing.

I'm actually now immediately questioning this top 25 list. West Florida is going to be a first year D1 team this season, and this list has them at 14.

Just gonna guess by his build it's Bryson Broadway. He saw some action against HCU, but then again who didn't during that game. We also see a QB #18 spliced in with JT in one of the lateral drills.

I will note in 3 separate live scrimmage passes in this video it's all Gavin throwing the ball. If we want to analyze it that much.

From what I've heard, he's separated himself pretty far from the pack in any "competition", so it sounds like the job is securely going to belong to #12.

And I see a name missing. Lontrell Turner from UIW. Looking at his Twitter, he appears that he's back at UIW. Must not have wanted to compete with Jenkins, Jones, and Stewart
