Something something something beating another backup QB.
Both NDSU and for the whole game but one drive SDSU did not field a starting QB.(NDSU's QB was never supposed to start).

I'm not too worried about it. They deserve it, 75% of their fans probably didn't even know they were playing.

As far as their seniors go, you think more of them come back to defend a championship or more would have come back for unfinished business? My guess is the latter.

All the sweeter for next season. When we beat them at NRG.

I'm no Bearkat fan, but they put themselves in position with their sixth year in 10 in the semis, and finally broke through to get the championship. They deserve it even if they didn't play a full conference schedule. I have no illusions that this was the year SFA would have stopped them.

If Carthel is all that he's hyped to be, he has the clear test in front of him. To be the best, you have to beat the best. Right now it's Sam. Congrats to them.

Keeler has said that all players will be back for the fall. Of course, that is now. Things can obviously change.

I feel like the questions of WAC strength of schedule for football is really a mute point moving forward. Yes WAC has sam the reigning champion but even without them the way the fcs is set up the strength of the conference doesn't matter as much in football as it does basketball. If carthel can build a winning team that can take down Sam that's all that matters. If we beat them and no one else but scrubs it still says we can beat anyone at the fcs level. Sam will win every game they play next fall against Wac opponents most likely. If we can win that game we will make the playoffs even if we stumble elsewhere. I think that will be the case for the next couple of seasons.

I think the unit that I am the most interested in seeing for the 2021 season, will be the Lumberjack's secondary.

With everybody back, including senior safety Trenton Gordon, who was out for the 2020 season, I can see this group being one of the best secondaries in the conference, and the one with the most talent and depth.

For the 2020 season, SFA lead the nation in interceptions with 14 picks, and with the exception of the SMU game, they had at least one INT a game. You could say that might just be the norm for 2021, as the Lumberjacks kept that streak going in the 2021 starting things off with a pick six in the spring game.

For the season the Jacks gave up only 209.4 yards per game and 9 passing TDs.

This is honestly the biggest reason I see us having a lot of success this season. Big, strong defense. Our offense will be good, but our defense will help us beat the tougher opponents like Sam or Jacksonville St.

Well, that's another thing, when you go to the Hutchinson athletic website and check out the football roster for the last 3 seasons his name is no where to be found and nothing on the JUCO football stats.

He obviously played there by the videos posted on his Twitter.

He was a walk on at Charlotte, no stats there as he red shirted in 2019.

"I felt like I couldn't achieve the goals and the dreams that I had set for myself there, so I felt like my football career needed to go down a different avenue," Taylor said.

2020 season he would have been at Hutchinson after he transferred, and his videos show him playing against Kilgore and Snow.

At Green Hope High: Helped the Falcons to a 10-3 record and a Tri-6 Conference Championship as a junior ... Falcons reached the third round of the state playoffs ... Falcons went 6-6 in 2016 and 2018 ... three-year starter ... team captain as a junior and senior for head coach David Green ... two-time all-conference ... threw for 6,581 career yards and 62 touchdowns.

Okay I found him. He did not play for Hutchinson, he played for Southern Shreveport, which appears to be a startup team that played an independent JUCO schedule.
