If we do good, we should be fine. As long as it's not a true mid major from TX. The landscape is always changing. If beard or Sampson leaves the story can be different next year.

Yeah, the southland conference + past history + facility give us a chance to be really good but the team has to capitalize on it or it's all useless.
Kentucky has given Calipari a "lifetime deal" that will ensure that he finishes his coaching career with the Wildcats. (aka Bigger Money....)

TCU's Jamie Dixon is now a leading candidate for the UCLA job, according to the Dallas News Sports Day. UT's Shaka Smart is a secondary candidate. (SMH on that last one...)

BTW, all 3,000 in attendance at Madison Square Garden, many of whom paid a whopping $11 for their tickets, were fascinated with the once-in-a-lifetime, exhilarating game they were witnessing from their front row seats. I'm sure the folks that put on the NIT are hoping for a rematch of these two top-notch teams next season.

What can I say, I'm drawn to fine institutions of education and sport. SFA, UT, the Dallas Cowboys...
I grew up in a Burnt Orange house. DKR was the ultimate coach. I listened to Kern Tips call the games on the Exxon network. I saw James Street pitch and QB. The Tyler Rose. Period.

Shannon and the SLC team wins their first game in the 3X3 Championship by a 22-12 score over the Ohio Valley Conference. Shannon had a great game, as did Prison Tech's Josh Delaney.
Shannon and the Southland win again in the 3X3! Beats Missouri Valley 21-18.
They almost lost their 1st round game until they came alive at the end...guess they improved their mindset...I couldn't watch anymore after that first game lol
