Tough kid. Played his HS senior season with a herniated disc and still averaged 20 ppg.

It may be hard to land him, since he likes being close to family. He couldn't get much farther away than by signing with SFA.

Two bad knees and a bad back (the most concerning problem) . Hopefully, it is all behind him but he is a risk.

SFA has offered 6'4" combo guard Ethan Yancy from Northwest Kansas Tech. He averaged 16 ppg as a freshman. A national scout for JUCORecruiting.com says he is "one of the most electric scorers in JUCO", "can score at all three levels" and "has all the tools to impact a D-1 on the offensive end".

Based solely on a video clip of him in a Fall scrimmage at Panola, he reminds me of Day Day Hall.

Not sure if he's a stud, but he's definitely a banger. He'll dominate down low and get lots of rebounds and put-backs. His physicality should nicely complement our more athletic guys next year.

Read the article about him that was posted on this thread back on August 14. He has already lived a very interesting life.

I should also say my evaluation skills may be limited. My daughter graduated with Patrick Mahomes and I said he wouldn't make much of himself! I believe I missed that evaluation just a bit!

So, what were his main assets that you saw? It's good to have speed, but how did he use it? One-on-one defense? Rebounding position? Penetration?
