Great interviews. The kind of person that Desmond is (I think) comes thru in the interview. A few adjectives that describe him from an outsider, humble, thoughtful and driven in a quiet way. The new DC sounded like a real firecracker. I hope our defense is better. That's the only way we are going to beat sammie this year.

Des is my hero. His performance at the end of that game was the greatest sports watching moment of my life. My other teams have won world championships, but that night was his, and I don't know if I will ever experience that kind of elation from sports again. It's ok because it was that good. I've watched the end of that game dozens of times.

On top of that, he has always been the most humble person. In a day of self-aggrandizement, he has always been the most self-effacing and gracious. SFA couldn't ask for a better representative in my opinion.

Sorry, I've been waiting years to share my man crush. One day I'll get the courage to tell him in person.
