At the beginning of the broadcast, the NMSU broadcaster said (paraphrasing) Stephen F Austin has good hitters. Their pitching is not very good but their batters are good. It was prophetic.

Pulled that one out 12-11, wow what a series

SFA up 11-7 going to the top of the 9th where UTA pulled even with a 4 run inning, but Sanders scored for the Jacks in the bottom of the 9th on a bases loaded error.

Alex Rodgers continues with the offense 3 runs off of 4 hits
Tom Biggs with 4 runs off of 3 hits and 3 RBI's, 2 BB
Cole Hill gets a run off of 4 hits and 4 RBI's

Jacks (18-18; 11-9) look to take the series tomorrow.

With 19 games remaining, SFA still on pace, looking for its first winning season since 2017 (29-28)

The Jacks are still in striking distance, just 4 games out of first.

In the WAC the hottest teams in the last 10 games are

UTA 7-3 (lost 1)
CBU 7-3 (won 4)
Tarleton 7-3 (won 4)

How did we get swept by New Mexico State?

9-26, and has lost the last 4 since sweeping the Jacks.

That series really hurt.
