Defense is mediocre. Eight errors in the series, but there were other plays that should have been made. A complete brain freeze by the middle infield yesterday ended up costing us six runs, but there was no chargeable error.
Pitching …. there were moments, but this is the biggest issue again so far this season.

I agree that this team has some bats, and if you can put up 4 to 8 runs a game while having a solid defense and pitching, you should be able to win a lot of games.

Extra Innings 4-2 SFA in the bottom of the 12th with bases loaded and 1 out for ORU.
Clutch defense for the Jacks infield and pitching from Emmons in the 12th.
A long review at home plate where the ORU runner was ruled safe which would have made it 4-3 with no outs, but after the review it was overturned.
Jacks improve to 5-6 and earn their first series win for the 2023 season.

Remember ORU was 7-2 coming into this game and 5-1 at home.
This included a 4 game series sweep of Northern Illinois, a 2-1 series win at Texas State and a 3-game winning streak wit the 3rd game being against Tarleton State, a team that is averaging 14 runs in the last 7 games.
