Will Cardenas survive another year? His conference record over the past 10 season, excluding 2020, is not good. He has only been above .500 3 times and just barely above .500 those 3 times. I know he is fighting with one hand behind his back but softball has been able to do it.

In early April we were 10-5 and sitting in second place.

We then lost 13 of our last 15, giving up 174 runs during that stretch. That's rough.

If I had to guess I'd say fatigue. Depth has been this teams Achilles heel basically since the program was brought back and remains so. We bring in good talent but 50 games is a long season and sometimes it can really get to you. Especially if you get punched in the gut with a few losses.
