Hello Ladyjack Volleyball Fans!

I'm sure you are all aware that we are off to a hot start sitting at 7-0! We are heading to Hattiesburg, MS to participate in the Southern Miss. Tournament this weekend. I have exciting news regarding our match vs. the host team on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. Our own voice of the Ladyjacks, Greg Miller will be broadcasting the match vs. Southern Miss. along with SFA alumni LA Lanford! How fun is that going to be? Two individuals who know our program very well. You won't want to miss that broadcast!

You can watch that match live on ESPN+ and the link can be found on the volleyball schedule page of our athletics web-site. (www.sfajacks.com)

We will also play MS Valley State at Noon on Friday, Sept. 9 & HBU at Noon on Saturday. Greg will have his usual radio broadcast for those 2 matches!

If you can't be there in person, you still have the opportunity to watch &/or listen to the broadcast! Thanks for your continued support of our program!

Decent competition in Shelton this weekend. Arkansas State on Saturday is the best of the three. Should be 12-1 Saturday evening. Senior MB Kelsey Harrington should be back.

Another dominant performance. That loss to HBU is even more perplexing.

This team has the look of a contender. Should be a solid (upper 3-4) team in the WAC.

Getting Kelsey back was big. She doesn't fill up the stat sheet, but her calming, senior leadership and influence is important.

Pay attention to Illinois freshman setter, Jayden Flynn. Serving and setting are outstanding.

Dominating first set. Started slow in the second, then pulled away. Third set was uninspired. Still pulled away late to finish the weekend 3-0 without losing a set. No, I don't think this is a fifth place team.12-1 going into WAC play.

Attendance - 533. Good crowd. Many stayed to the end.

Freshman, Jayden Flynn had another excellent game. 20 assists. Six aces with zero service errors.
Sophomore, Ielan Bradley with 19 kills, hitting a robust .483. She is a stud athlete.
Freshman, Isabella Ortiz hit an other world .889, with 8 kills on 9 swings.

Tough match. Tarleton has some quality, young talent. We are deeper, with a good mix of experience and underclass.

On to Huntsville on Saturday. Sam lost 3-2 to ACU and our former assistant coach, Alisa Blair.
