I just went to the SLC website to see what they have posted about the championship. Not. a. single. word. I tweeted them about it, but I doubt it will do any good. You would think that since it's an all-SLC championship they would at least give it some mention. What a loser conference.

Thanks for posting that. There is no excuse IMO for them having that anywhere other than the first page of the site. I did get a reply from SLC - they told me they have a SLC Bowling twitter account. Wow!! What an exciting night! The atmosphere was electric and there was quite a large SFA crowd, which surprised me. Awesome play and we definitely deserved this title.

Prison Tech has a bowling alley in their student center.

I agree with the on campus bowling lanes. Along with a decent baseball facility. And, a decent softball facility. And, a decent soccer facility. And, the list goes on. All it takes is time and money. Lots and lots of money.

I mean. I don't think it's fully understood what this means for SFA. We are NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. Twice. It doesn't matter it's bowling. We're doing great things.
Football can very well make the jump to be an FCS contender very soon.
And basketball may very well go back to be a tournament team very soon.

Saw a video of them last night on a bus after the match. Were they not flown to Ohio for a national championship Elite Eight tournament? (I'm just asking. I don't know) Or were they just headed to their hotel? Can we fly the baseball team to California but not afford to fly them to Ohio? How did they travel?Ljacks&Longnecks said:

Not sure how they got to Cleveland maybe bused up there but to answer your question on why they are on a bus now is that their next stop is the Intercollegiate Team and Singles Bowling Championships, next week in Dayton, OH. Coach Lemke stated on the radio show she did that they were staying in OH for it. We have some ladies that qualified for the singles events and of course the team will be competing as well.
It is kind of like the old days of basketball when you could be in the NCAA and the NIT. NCAA means a lot but this tournament means a lot as well especially since there are individuals competing.
