I guess it depends what's budgeted. We've rarely filled our scholarship limits in the past. I doubt that's changing anytime soon.

A little lesser clone of Thomas Bell at UNT a few years ago when they were really good. Floor is going to be high because he plays so hard and will do the little things that wins you a lot of games.SFA Jack Fanatic said:Jacks4460 said:

If true, this young man doesn't send shivers up my leg, but he'd add even more depth to an already deep bench.
and you get him for 3 years!AxeEmJacks11 said:A little lesser clone of Thomas Bell at UNT a few years ago when they were really good. Floor is going to be high because he plays so hard and will do the little things that wins you a lot of games.SFA Jack Fanatic said:Jacks4460 said:

I know this guy has had some incredible coaching. I see he went to Spire Academy. I used to live very close to it, and it has a sterling reputation for producing incredible basketball players.SFAXE93 said:

For some reason he reminds me of Leon Gilmore. Left handed and mobile but can shoot from outside better.

This team looks good on paper. Lots of potential. Some of my prior post this time of year didn't age well so I'll just say I like it right now. lol

A smooth, skilled wing with a soft, high-release jumper that consistently finds the bottom of the net. Gutierrez excels in transition, where his fluid athleticism and body control allow him to finish plays effectively—whether attacking…

Concerning the upcoming schedule, hopefully the new staff can get more Big Division 1 teams on the schedule. Wish the Jacks could play a team like Indiana, Georgetown or Kentucky. Also hope they keep Drake on the schedule. That's a good matchup for the Jacks. . One last thing, hopefully the schedule will come out early. The last few years has been ridiculous. Seemed like SFA was one of the last schools to post there schedules.
Their coach was also more connected than most mid-major coaches out there...We will see what their schedule looks like with a new staffSFAXE93 said:
McNeese, last season got #2 Alabama, North Texas, Illinois State, Liberty, and #25 Miss. State in their non-con and they should be the most feared SLC team now.
I'll drink to all of that!nacluth said:
This is probably the most exciting season of at least the last five years if just for the complete unknown of it all. I'm really looking forward to a new look, new system, new players. I don't think there's any way to predict success, but it should be fun.
I'm ready to get behind a new class of Lumberjacks. Also, I'm happy that Christmas gets a reboot for his last year. I hope it energizes him.
