central Heights has always been competitive in basketball. Last year was a somewhat down year.

A head coach at any high school in Texas is usually a pretty solid spot, regardless of the size of school.

Yeah central heights had a down year but I remember them usually being pretty solid, so I think he's landed a pretty sweet gig for a few years.

As I recall, Narvis Anderson was not even a starter on that 1970 team. Harvey Hufstetler was the 5th starter, and he was a dead-eye sharpshooter from outside (there was not a 3-point line back then).

International problems? He's from Houston. Must have student visa issues. Anyway...

This got me to looking at his videos on the interwebs. A tall lanky athletic young man that runs the floor well. SFA will have to put some meat on his skinny bones if he wants to bang at this level. Arriving a little late won't help him on the depth chart. Lots of "pine time" in his future this Fall. He'll have a lot to learn.

I noticed that last year he had taken an unofficial visit to Texas Tech, where Coach Braurer had shown him around. Thus, the eventual connection and recruitment by SFA.

Winning at Duke and a one possession game with a minute to go at Kansas(Champs) would deter us getting scheduled. Kensmil was the best big on the floor at Kansas. We are not so feared these days. Got to get back there.

Agreed. And we don't need a 6'10" big. Kensmil proved that a 6'7" frame with desire can make up for a lack of height.

I expect to see : Abilene Christian , Arkansas St , ULM , UTA , ULL and loads of D2 and other competition. Maybe we can get some mojo back this season
