On occasion, I know what I am talking about. It was appropriate to hire a search firm. McBroom did not know who was getting the job the day Keller was let go. That's not the way he works. After all the interviews, he got his top candidate. SFA athletics is in good hands.SFAJack_76 said:

Oh no. I missed the news in February. After all those top recruits he signed, I thought Ben had another year here. Can't pass up Houston calling, but that's a tough fill.
So Coach Breaur want be in Nac until Texas Tech gets knocked out of March Madness. Is this correct?
That must be hard to concentrate on Texas Tech, after you get your first head coaching job, and you really want to get busy on building your new team.
Has anyone seen what style play he's bringing to the table?
How many players will Coach Braeuer keep? Will he clean house or bring back 4 or 5 players? Per the SFASU website this is non seniors.

Ben was not looking to leave, but UH came after him with an offer he couldn't refuse. "It was life changing for me, Hailey, and our future children." No doubt, this one hurt. SFA plays at UH on April 6. Our three assistants are maintaining the program until a new HC can get hired.nacluth said:

Never been around a losing season. Young enough to bring energy. Hopefully he's the kind of coach that kids will want to play for. Not gonna crown him yet but maybe time to dust and shine the crown just in case. lol

From some comments on Reddit the last game of the regular season they did see Braeuer be the head coach for a bit. May be something to look into.

Good comments, 93. Tech is a #3 seed in the latest CBS bracketology. We may have to wait a while for our coach.

I think you missed the most obvious keeper, Thompson.
Hayman, if he comes back, yes. Jenkins, Pangonis, and Christmas, probably. Emmanuel, doubtful.
We need big tough men and shooters. That's not too much to ask, is it?
I was on the fence about him Thompson he stayed average with his career according to ESPN. I feel like we could find a better guard. The market will probably be strong again.

I'm about where you are. If Thompson could string together consistent shooting performances, I'd have a "buy" on him.
Jenkins and Hayman could be real solid cornerstones. We need at least one solid big man. My dream is a Kensmil type.
Coach B was a point guard, so I suspect we will be better from a turnover standpoint.

Pangonis is the best freshman I've seen in a bit as far as the Jacks go. Everyone else I'm ambivalent about from a statistical point of view.
I agree. I want Coach B here ASAP, but if we have to wait another month and Tech wins the National Championship that is even better. That could only help in recruiting.
