SFA (1-0) vs. Southwest Assemblies of God University (3-0)

Like those pesky Wesleyans we just played, we're playing another quick NAIA team with good shooters. If anything, SAGU is a much better defensive team. Last year like SFA in the NCAAs, SAGU led the NAIA in steals. They were also a top blocking and rebounding team. Led by their strong junior PG Dareny Sims (1st in nation with 17 assists/1 TO), they are averaging 99 points through their first 3 games - all blowouts. They are holding their opponents to 65 ppg.

This will be a good follow up test for SFA to see if we can stop a truly prolific scoring team who prides themselves on tough defense.

I feel like Keller will have a nice...um...talk...with the team about parts of their performance against TWU. I expect a cleaner performance against SAGU. Something slightly more similar to what we saw in the second half last night...

You know sometimes it's nice to schedule beatable teams to get your legs under you. Kinda like Baylor did with Texas Southern...oh...

In their first game, SAGU played their "Texas Snowstorm" game against Champion Christian College. So, "What's a Texas Snowstorm game?" you might ask. When the first SAGU bucket was scored, their students threw over 1,000 white ping pong balls onto the court.

Hmmm....

1) Wonder if the game officials knew that was going to happen.
2) Wonder if a technical foul (or 1,000 technical fouls?) was assessed as a result.
3) Wonder how long it took to round up all of those elusive little fellows...
