After the first week of SLC play, Nicholls, Lamar, and ACU are 2-0, our Ladyjacks are 1-0, and all other teams have at least one loss.

Big, early season home game Wednesday at 6:30 against Nicholls. I hope there is a decent crowd. These girls work hard. They earned our support.

Edit: Ladyjacks with an RPI of 56!

42-17 to extend the lead at half. The girls are good. Almost always getting in good position. The subs played solid minutes and played toe to toe the whole time.

I would believe any argument that someone wants to make that she's the best player on the team. She hasn't been scoring today in the three onslaught, but she can.

She hasn't scored because she hasn't shot. But she must have a bunch of assists. Her play is almost flawless in all phases of the game.

Visscher did not have her best game. She did tie for the team lead in rebounds with six. She has a great shot but hesitates to shoot. When she missed the two threes, she did not shoot again. Four turnovers is not okay.

Banfield all around is the best PG on the team. Manages the game well and is always a threat to score.

Hayes had her best game in a couple of weeks. Much better than Wednesday.

Hamling had her best game as a Ladyjack. Shot with confidence. Took care of the ball. Much improved defense.

I think I had more confidence in last year's team just because I felt like Parker could put the team on her back if she had to, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that all around stats were higher for this team. Great potential.

Yep, future looks great. I think this could be a special year too! I think we're primed to run the Southland. And I have high hopes that we break through in the NCAA's this year.
