Always the skeptic. Here's what I saw. We had eight ballcarriers who ran the ball. We finished with 137 yards rushing. One of those rushes was for an eighty yard touchdown. Oglesby had a 19 yard jaunt for a touchdown but finished with 13 total yards. Do any of you see the discrepancies there?

I went to the scrimmage and was impressed with the energy levels.. #1 O-Line is improved(didn't see Elliot).. #2 OL has 2 solid players so depth at OL is thin...Didn't see Ohelsby... Hutchinson got carted into training room.. Forrest can zip the ball.. Pace is next NFL draft pick.. Used the TE from Fresno St a lot...

Defense made 3 great Int's towards the end of the scrimmage... Overall impressed with team and the way they responded to Byrd and their coaches.. The JUCO kids are vocal leaders on D it seems..

They are also impressed with Covey and they insist that he is the fastest player on the team. I can see them using Covey for a change of pace. There wasn't a huge crowd. I blame that on the fact that it wasn't on campus. There weren't many students there. Lots of energy although the program had numerous technical glitches.

I updated the roster and staff. One thing I noticed typing in all those names and stats is that we have a big team. Hardly anyone under 6'. The site is pretty cool in that you can look at the class breakdown and depth chart, and it will show how deep we are at the different positions. Hope you enjoy!

I was thinking of this writing an article for the sawmill. We are an underdog no doubt. We aren't predicted to do well. But we also are the ultimate wildcard.
Had Clint Conque remained head coach I'd say playoffs should be expected, and anything less should result in a firing.
That's not saying Clint is so perfect. That's saying we have an outstanding amount of talent on this team.
We're facing an unreal amount of adversity this season, and all of that weighs against us. But that doesn't discount the fact we have a ton of talent. So we can very well have a good season, possibly a playoff season with this talent. I feel like this team can either be a playoff team or a horrible team. There's no way of knowing until we see this team play a few games.
