McCorkle might be done after this one. This is an inexcusable failure by their program. I like McCorkle. I thought he was gonna turn them around, but I've never seen a college football team look this bad.

NAIA South Dakota Mines defeats (RV) Drake 38-35
Div. II Old Dominion Ohio defeats Morehead State 42-40 (3OT)
Div. II Concord defeats Davidson 41-34

LCU did it. NWST is worse than ever.

Louisiana Christian 42, NSU 37. Final.

According to the ESPN announcers, this is the first time that an NAIA team has ever defeated a scholarship-offering D-I team.

NSU had over 500 yards of offense to about 350 for LC. NSU shot themselves in the foot about a bazillion times.

And next week they play Tulane.

NSU players, coaches, faculty, students, and alumni are all avoiding appearing in public today.

Remember those Sam Goodwin NSU teams of the 1990s, that 1998 FCS semifinals team, even the early 2000's with Scott Stoker winning the SLC in 2004?

Now 20 plus years later the fall continues.

Yall.. Sure, NW St lost to an NAIA school, but Houston Christian beat Southeastern Louisiana.

The portal breeds unpredictability, but I didn't see this one coming. Yikes. NWST is bad.

On the other hand Nicholls looked polished against an atrocious MVSU team and HCU had a plan to defeat a wobbly SLU.

Not sure where SLU goes from here.

I agree lol play a real FBS school....

NWST needs to have a serious talk about their football program. Last winning season was 2008. They've won 1 game in 3 years. And now they've allowed 80 against La Tech and lost to an NAIA school at home.

I love beating the crap out of a rival, but the rivalry isn't good unless they're at least competitive. I want NWST to be good, I want our game to mean something at the end of the year. I don't want the game for the largest traveling trophy in college football to be our easiest game of the year.

Hell, our D2 game later this month will be tougher than the Demons.

The game being on a Thursday plus the low quality of NW state is making me question making the trip up.
