Pretty pivotal. We've got some pieces. A few transfers could fill in the pieces. Real interested in seeing how this group pulls together.

I feel like some of the UT systems "leers" money may allow for some real repairs/updates of the Field House and Shelton Gym. That could get us back in the facilities arms race game. Tarleton is "way" ahead on the football front. ACU isn't chopped liver either.

An expansion/update of the "Loddie Naymola Football Fieldhouse" would be epic.

Ty Warren is from Bryan, Texas, played at Texas A&M becoming a 1st round draft pick in the 2003 NFL draft and played for the Patriots and Broncos for 9 seasons.

This will be his first college coaching job as he has been coaching in the NFL and XFL.

Kirby Ennis is from Huntsville, Texas and also played at Texas A&M graduating in 2014.

He has been a defensive graduate assistant at Texas Tech for the past 3 seasons.

Good to hear. The O line has been hit and miss. Like 3 solid games, then a stinker. A "week in, week out" type of O Line would give us the chance to be competitive against Troy.

Last time I looked in the fall, we had like 100 players on the roster.

So there's this theory of college sports that some sports might lose money but are "tuition profitable."

Like lacrosse. Has 6-10 scholarships and 30 players, so 20 people are paying full tuition. 20*15000 a year is 300k, so as long as your Lacrosse coaches and field cost less than that, you can break even or get close to breaking even.

I kinda think that's what we're doing in football. Those extra 30 guys may have went to some other school, so SFA is booking something like 450k extra they may not get otherwise.

Now that's not enough to make the football team "break even", but it is a nice chunk of change for the university and students we might not otherwise have which is good for growth in a small way.
