• Neither coach attended off-campus recruiting-related activities from April-July.
• Three total scholarships were cut that would be distributed over the next three years
• Official recruitment visits for next year were reduced by four.
• A six-week ban on recruiting communications.
• A six-week ban on unofficial visits.
• A 13-day reduction in recruiting days this year.

To be clear, Kansas is imposing penalties to hopefully avoid NCAA penalties. NCAA said they wouldn't assess any penalties until after this season. There is still the possibility that they get hammered, but we've all seen this before so we are susceptible to think that this will be it.

I'm glad the NCAA moved so quickly.

Ugh! Bally Sports Arizona had the NMSU exhibition game against Western NM on. It's unfortunate that a few of their fans are knuckleheads and make me feel this way. I'm sure most are their fans are not obnoxious and arrogant.

I watched most of it. The 4 or 5 star juco recruit they brought in looks very good. They let WNM climb back into the game and get within 11 so they had to bring the starters back in to make sure they won big.

The color guy was a former assistant coach at NMSU and a bit of an excuse maker. He actually said, "I'm going to go out on a limb and say Western New Mexico wins the Lone Star and makes the D2 tournament". Uh, no dude that's going to be WTA&M for about the 5th year in a row.

I want to be clear. I'm not too bothered by homer announcers. I expect it.

NMSU has some good shooters but most of the threes they hit were uncontested. I could be wrong but I'm not sure they will be as good as last year. If Pinson is cleared to play that will make a difference.

It's hard to tell because it is so early but I agree with you. I don't think they will be as good this year.
