I watched some of the Lamar game in the fog bank. Crazy. I watched a little of the McNeese game, too. There was fog in that one, too, but not as bad as in Beaumont.

UTRGV is "the only game in town" down there in the valley, and they do it right. Fireworks, little kids playing on the side (like at the slopes of Homer Bryce). Lots of sponsors. They love baseball down there.

Pan American University was a baseball powerhouse in the '70's. Multiple NCAA appearances including a 2-2 record in the 1971 College World Series.
