yeah it is a hard decision as the head coach. You want to give some of the reserves a chance to get some playing time, but still walk away with the win. Some coaches will play starters first and then sub in backups, others will go with mostly starters and a few backups and some will challenge all of the backups to step up and do their job if they are called on. He looked like he called the team together and got on them pretty good around that 6th inning but then he also brought in our best hitter and a few others and it turned into a late game cruise which is fine too. We do need to find some more depth on the hitting side in case of injuries or teams start pitching around certain hitters but overall we are trending right direction for sureSFAXE93 said:
I don't think Coach V was very happy about the team's performance against a NAIA school, from the bottom half of the RRAC, being down 2-1 going into the bottom of the 6th, and having to bring into the game some of the regular starters to get a spark.
But in the end the team got the job done, and you could see the coaching moments, and tough love to get the message across.
This program is headed in the right direction under the new staff's leadership, it's going to be a great program down the road.
