The Bearkats lost to UCA tonight in Conway 70-88 giving the Bears of UCA a spot in the 2018 SLC Tourney.

Before the loss SHSU had won 7 of their last 8 and are 13-1 at home.

Hope to see more purple than orange Saturday night in Huntsville as the Jacks look to stay in the hunt for one of the top 3 seedings.

Win gets us #3; loss #4 seed. The loss probably puts our first game against Lamar. A win sees the winner of UNO/UCA. I say let's win.

Edit: My better half just said I won't be there after all. So.. I guess I won't be there after all....

I hope we get the result that lets us play Lamar as soon as possible.

I know that seems like a differing opinion that most, but I say there is ZERO chance then can beat us 3 times.

I basically agree, but as it almost assuredly takes a loss to Sam to make that happen, I'm just not sure if I can stomach it. Maybe if we let Gru and Fisher play most of the game.

We're playing for Lamar to get a bye essentially. There is no way that we should lose this game willingly (for many reasons). McNeese isn't particularly an easy out, but you know the Cardinals want that game off.

Loss almost assures us of a Lamar semifinal matchup.

I'll be stopping for some grub before the games at McKenzie's BBQ. Went there last year and had some of the best barbecue in my life. Going back to see if it was a fluke or the real deal. Probably be there around 3:30. If anyone wants to come hang out for a late lunch/early dinner, please join.
