Wow, you would have thought that it was just a fluke last season being down that many players on a small roster, but looks like it is becoming the norm.
Mark Kellogg never wanted more than 12. His WV roster this year has eleven.

Ladyjacks are playing their first game, and they look like it. Mika Perry is going to be a valuable asset.

Kind of. Nacogdoches had a teacher workday randomly yesterday. So kids were out of school, but there was a note sent home that any student could get in free. Some surrounding school districts that had class did bring some students.
Of course my kids could have gotten in free, but we parents did not get the day off.

Having such a small roster and apparently so few healthy players can and WILL eventually bite the Ladyjacks in the arse (pardon my French). They survived this type of situation last year but I can't see them being lucky enough to do it again.
I just don't get what Bishop is thinking. Why not at least advertise on campus for a tryout for 2 or 3 walkons just to have available for practices and/or if injuries get even more plentiful, which they very well could this time around. There must be a couple of pretty good girls on intramural teams that could fill that bill and who would love the opportunity.

It would appear that Talia Vann is the additional missing player in the first two games.
I was at the football game and unable to watch the Ladyjacks, but in the box score there was an interesting stat... 3 point FG percentage - 21.1% on 8 for 38 shooting. That will not get it done when they start playing D-I teams.
