The 2019-2020 team won several times while receiving votes. Now the world got cancelled after the final AP poll, but hopefully that curse doesn't come back.

The Dan Patrick Show just spent 10 minutes on our name. Why did Stephen "F" Austin? It came as a result of then giving our score from the McNeese game. At least they were talking about the Lumberjacks and that's good...I guess?!

Belmont (Missouri Valley), Liberty (Conference USA), University of North Carolina Wilmington (CAA), Navy (Patriot), South Alabama (Sun Belt) and Stephen F. Austin (Southland) have already secured a bid to the NIT.

The NIT will be good for SFA, as they will still get some national exposure, post season play experience for those players coming back for 2027, and a chance to win some post season games as well, which could help make SFA look good as a destination when it comes to picking up players in the portal.

Also, Braeuer knows the journey through a NIT with his experience at North Texas (2023 NIT Champions)

Our previous NIT bids ended quickly, though I remember that Stanford game going down to the wire and I thought we would pull it off. However, it's been 10 years. I'm ready for a real postseason victory.

We lost the Stanford game 58-57.
As for the 2009 UMass game, I was there for the 20 point blowout. Jacks found out at 9:00 PM central they had to play in Amherst. They had to lay over twice and got to Amherst late Monday. They only had an opportunity for a short walk through Tuesday for a 6:00 PM Eastern time tip off that night. The committee did us no favors.
Dante Milligan killed us in the paint and we had no answer. He averaged less than 9 a game and put up a career high 24 on us.

Doubtful we'll get to host but there's a chance. The 12 top conferences (WAC was 12) gets the right to host if they choose.

Yet they probably pay none of their coaches even close lol. Very one-sided of the coin.I bet WBB is next in contract amounts.

UC Irvine lost in the NIT Championship last year by a point to Chattanooga. This is a stacked regional.
