Wish I could find one. Keon Thompson was gigantic. I wonder what his free throw percentage was. I think he shot 100%. 8-8? Idk.

We've got a bevy of solid guards. Kam Burton is no slouch. Made a couple of key 3 pointers to get things going.

Marcus Scurry is good.

The guy from Lithuania needs to catch up to the speed of the game. If he does we might have some capabilities inside.

Eltramon Smith made a couple of good moves to the basket. Like the way Brauer rotates. Keeps a good flow. I think Brauer played 11 or 12

Easily 2-1 Purple over Orange. My guess is that attendance was roughly 600. Probably 300 + Lumberjacks, looked like a big number (150 or more) HISD staff / a band / and tons of high basketball players. I sat in the middle of the"Bearkat section". There was no more 70-80 wearing orange.

We did. It was fun to see the different defensive strategy that Brauer used. More effective handoff play.

My impression was that both coaches wanted a more "free flowing" play in exhibition. The defensive pressure was consistent. Almost never the pure "lane denial" that Keller preferred.

Colonel played 13 minutes, 6 points 3 blocks.
Jacks got out rebounded 40 to 28.
Points Scored - Keon 43, Pat 16 and Narit 11.
Kam had 9 points in 15 minutes.

Keon was 19-19 from the line. Impressive.

Didn't see any stats on Harris Dar and Yohan. Did they make the trip?

A couple of questions for you, 85...

1) What's the difference between the Keon Thompson of 2024-25 and the one of this season? Why did he "go off" last night? Is he a different player physically, seemed to show a better attitude, called for the ball from teammates more, etc., or did Braeuer just play him differently than Keller did? And why did Braeuer play him so many minutes in a preseason scrimmage? He could have been hurt.

2) How did Prison Tech wipe out that 20 point lead in the second half? Our bench players failed to perform well, or did SFA go cold and the Prisoners just get hot?

3) Name 3 or 4 of the new guys you think will make major contributions this year. Maybe didn't score that much last night but you can see contributing greatly in other ways.

A couple of things I noticed in the stats...

Narit took 7 shots, and all 7 were from three point land. He's not shy about launching it!

Jerald came in with a bit of a reputation for shot blocking. He had 3 last night. A good sign of things to come around the basket. We haven't had that strength in a while.

Shot 27% from threes. Hopefully that gets better when real games start.
