Utah was never part of the Confederacy, but the association with the name Dixie will mean that this will probably be the only time that we play the Red Storm of DSU. The Jacks have the momentum and the wherewithal to keep their win streak alive and be perfect against Dixie State.
The Jacks are playing their best team ball of the season. Kensmil and Solomon are coming alive with fire and intensity while Posey is finding ways to invigorate the backcourt. Getting everyone healthy at the right time of the year has the Lumberjacks believing that the end of the year is going to be the best part.
Dixie State has beaten the four teams below them in the WAC standings, but are still looking for a breakthrough against the top teams. Their strength is rebounding in which they lead the WAC, but they foul a lot and only have average shooting. Hunter Schofield (6' 8", F, Sr.) is the team leader in offense followed by Cameron Gooden (5' 11", G, Jr.).
The Jacks on paper should have a good matinee, but they have to play hard against a team that's hungry.
