With all these new additions to the roster makes you wonder what players have left the team, because it's getting pretty crowded at some positions.

RB (7)
WR (19)
TE (6)
OL (24)
DL (23)
LB (19)

Watching some film on Kitna, and he has great size, strength, and a great scrambler which is such a plus in college football.
Save the date and make plans, 'Jacks!

I'm not suggesting another conference realignment.
Only pointing out that a Texas only FCS conference would be pretty formidable.
Tarleton ran hard at CUSA. They added Missouri State instead.BigJack85 said:TallTexan said:

I'm surprised that ACU didn't make the move to the SLC. Maybe they won't / can't or do not have the desire to rejoin the SLC. ACU in particular is not a target for CUSA / Sunbelt etc.
In the mid-term Tarleton is probably the biggest question mark. Do they (Tarleton) make a run at CUSA ? I don't think the MTN West has desire to grab Tarleton. Where do they go.

I've "heard" the SLC doesn't want them either. Too many bridges burned.
Of course, it's all subject to change.

The only reason this makes sense is to cut travel costs. It's gonna severely hurt potential playoff bubble teams, as they won't get that 4th non conference game to schedule a quality FCS opponent. Most schools will get 1 non conference FCS game towards their resume, which won't be a good look if they lose it.

Going to 12 games regularly isn't this basically a wash?
Tbh, probably saves most of us with an extra buy game we have to pay our for with low level schools like ITT Tech and helps a bit with travel as well.
Overall might be a bit of a schedule upgrade for most SLC schools.

If we can avoid playing a sub d-1 team because of this, I'd be for it, but we already have such a hard time finding quality FCS opponents I would expect we still schedule a tune up game every year.
If we could get a yearly out of conference matchup against a top 25 opponent it wouldn't be an issue.
